Title: Add DB2 Datasource from cataloged database
Post by: kennedto on 28 Nov 2015 11:07:33 AM
I am using Cognos 10.2 running on W2K8.
I am trying to integrate Cognos with Maximo.

I have a Maximo server running on Linux with DB2.  I want to create a non JDBC datasource to it.
I have catalogued the node and database on the Cognos server  for the Maximo database.
I can successfully query the Maximo database from the Cognos DB2 command line.

When I try to create a datasource from this database, I get the
message shown in the attachement.

Any ideas what I need to create the datasource.

Did you install 32-bit DB2 drivers?

I do not recall doing that specifically.  I installed Cognos a long time ago, so I am not sure.
Is that an option in the Cognos install, or is that something I have to do separately.
How can I tell if  they are installed?
How do I get Cognos to use them?

Solution was to add the DB2 ODBC driver from   Administration  Tools->ODBC Data Source
