Title: Cognos Distributed Installation using Gateway on DMZ and Active Directory
Post by: irodriguez on 12 Nov 2015 08:48:06 AM
Hello my friends: I have a one server Cognos Installation with and AD and everything was doing fine until the big boss asked access to this server through the DMZ server. So the Cognos gateway was installed on DMZ server, and we reconfigured. The problem is when we try to login and we press OK, the url is the Home URL, but cognos ask for user and password over and over... I attach the configuration of BI and Gateway servers.

Interesting Facts: DMZ is not on the domain that share BI and AD servers
Stand Alone Installation was working OK with AD
If I write the DMZ URL on the browser, I am prompt for user and password, but when I press Ok I can't login.

I hope you can help me... I think there is something wrong with cognos configuration or firewall rules.

Regards!

Hi,
Is your dmz gateway server part of the AD domain? Did you allow tcp port 9300 from dmz gateway to internal Cognos dispatcher server?

Your first mistake is you spelled cognosisapi.dll wrong. Check that, also i recommend you trace the route to see how the firewall is dealing with it...
