I have completed the certification process. I'm certainly not going to give you details of any of the questions or answers - that would devalue the process and would upset Cognos (notwithstanding it would break the rules of this site too). In addition, I sat very early versions of the exams, and I believe some of the questions have since been rewritten...
From the site mentioned above you can see that there are various product exams - Author, Modeller, Administrator etc. You can see the prerequisites required before you sit these exams too, and there are even a few sample questions to give you a flavour of what to expect when you sit the real exams. Other than this, what else would you like to know?

Anyone serious needs to go through product documentation and rest rely on training and on-the-job day-to-day work experience.

A good start would be install Cognos 8 samples at your work computers and go through the Cognos Training Manuals (Modeling I, Modelin II, Report Authoring I, Report Authoring II etc). Do all the examples and do them again till you know them inside out.
Product Documentation and Multimedia Knowledge Base are a big help too.
I have not done the certification, but this was what I was advised by the Cognos folks many years ago and as late as Dec 2006.

Hi,
There are no previous papers to get hold of. The exams take the form of electronic multiple-choice questions presented on-screen. All the important details can be found on the Cognos website

Try downloading the student handbook from the site - it will tell you all about the curriculum for each level, and if you look in the appendices at the back you will find some sample questions for each of the certification exams.

The study materials can be obtained either by attending the relevant Cognos courses or by purchasing the relevant materials from Cognos.
