Good day Experts
I would like to know, we have a simple network report with 2 metrics
Utilization in
Utilization out
What I need to do is show both of the metrics on one axis, and need to have one of the metrics on the chart to be transparent
The reason for this is they would like to see both metrics on the same chart, and if its not transparent then the one chart obscures the other
Would this be possible in Cognos?
Thanks
Do you want date (or something similar) going along the x-axis? And what do your two metrics represent? Are they percentages, or are they numbers? Are you actually more interested in (Utilization In) / (Utilization Out)?
Hi There
Yes Time Frame will be same for both running at the bottom
Metrics are both % based
Interested in both, I have attached what report they currently get out of their tool, I want to build similar report in cognos if possible
Thanks
Oh ok, that makes sense then. Could you just have the line graphs, without the area underneath being filled?
:)
Nope They would like area charts as they currently get
Guessing this is not possible...
Click on the palette property for the series and then set transparency as desired. Probably all your colors would need to be set with some transparency since you won't necessarily know which one will be lower or higher at different points in time.
Also, your attachment is not really blinded and appears to be divulging real information. This is prohibited by the forum (see etiquette post) and is also a really, really, really (really, really) bad thing to do from an employer's perspective.
Good day
I will try with the transparency of the Pallette and see if I can come right
The report is for a test Dev network, not production, but I can see your point even if it is not for production, I will remember
Thank you very much
I have removed your attachment - please do not post sensitive data to the Cognoise site. What would your employer say if they discovered you have done this? I can't imagine they would be very impressed...
MF.
Thank you
Again, it is a private network we setup for testing data for reports
Nothing to do with the Employer :)
