Title: Cognos Data Manager tell me which jobs have which database connection
Post by: tale103108 on 25 Sep 2015 11:20:51 AM
Cognos 10.2.1
Windows Server 2012
-----------------------

I need to find which jobs have a connection to which database.  I have multiple data sources and many jobs.
Is there a way in Cognos Data Manager (or some other method like viewing the catalog tables) that I can use to list which jobs have which database connections?

:D

You could try the "Document Catalog" option? You will get everything, but you should be able to use it to see which connections are used in which builds / hierarchies

Actually here is how I found it....

In Cognos Data Manager, use the Navigator by pushing on the Navigator button in Main Menu and type in the component you want to find in the Find Components tab and then hit the Find Now button at far right.
Highlight the component you found (in the result screen that follows the step above) and then click on the Navigate tab.
And you got your data sources that map to jobs list. (This may take a little time to appear as it searches the catalog)
