Title: exporting model diagram as image or PDF
Post by: ry1633 on 18 Aug 2015 11:43:39 AM
What is the best way to export your FM model as a jpg image?   I've been playing around with Context Explorer and sending the output to my PDF Creator, but it creates a file that is 9 pages long and I'd like to avoid that.  I'd like to have an image or PDF of the model that is 1 or 2 pages max.

Sadly there is not much else built in for diagrams. One thing I have found handy is to group related tables into folders. Unlike namespaces, this does not alter the MUNs so you can move stuff between folders as needed without breaking reports. Then just open that folder and "print". I find this way I can usually get a reasonable one-page diagram of each subject area within my sprawling model. And once done it helps me stay just a little more organized as a side benefit.

Otherwise, you could use screenshots and a photo/graphics editor.   ::)
