Title: Converting IQDs from Impromptu to Query Subjects in Framework
Post by: Wildrose on 12 Sep 2007 11:04:42 AM
Is there an EASY way to take an existing IQD/IMR created from Impromptu and bring the code in to create a Query Subject in Framework Manager. I did test on copy and paste but doing that does not pick up the alias column name as an IQD does. Also some functions in Impromptu do not work in Framework.

My goal is to create IQDs in Framework without reinventing the wheel. Therefore I am trying to use the existing IQDs/IMRs and import, migrate or something magical that I am not aware of.

Anyone have experience with this? How did you do it?

If you are looking for easy, why not continue to use Impromptu for this?

That said, the closest you will get to 'easy' will be to copy the SQL from the IQD and paste into a Data Source Query Subject.  From there, you will need to take care of the aliasing yourself.
