Hi ,

We are installing COGNOS 8 on Red Hat Linux 4. The web server is Apache which is also installed on Linux box on different machine. The database for content store is ORACLE 10g it is present in third Linux box.  The version of Java is 1.5

We tried the installation of COGNOS and it installed successfully but we are stuck up in Configuration.

Kindly suggest.

You need to setup up DISPLAY variable to your IP (like 10.0.1.5:0.0, some terminal software does it for you) and execute ./configcp (or ./configure, not 100%) from the bin directory. Then CfgMgr opens on your desktop and you should be able to configure your Linux install "remotely". But X-Windows needs to be running.
