Title: Chart Series "Category Range" property not working

I need to create Line and Column charts that keep the same line/bar colors even after they are filtered.
I have seen this behavior in some IBM samples, so I know it's possible.

I understand that the setting "Category Range" needs to be set to "All Data" for this behavior to happen, but the Series values get filtered anyway and the line/bars colors change after I apply the filters.

Am I missing something?

I have tested on 10.2.2 and the visuals are working as I expected, so I will not continue to try and sort this out in 10.2.1
