My Clients requested us to create a custom solution to save the reports from studio.
requirement is, when we are click on the save option in the studio, it is displaying the one prompt box, which consist of public folder and my folder. so instead of these default folders, my client wants another custom folder(sub folder) which is in public folders.
or else is there any way to set default location to save the reports.

I have my doubts about being able to extend the save dialog. And if you did manage to make it work, you would probably have to redo it every time you applied a Cognos update.
For me at least, Cognos does seem to recognize the folder you were in when you started Report Studio. So you could set the users home view to the desired folder, or if you are launching them into Cognos from elsewhere use an action URL to start them in that folder. Then if they launch Report Studio, when they save it will default to the starting folder.
If they want a really custom solution, there is always the SDK. :D
