I have a report that prompts for the Vendor, which has over 20,000 rows. As it is a Report, you can manually specify the Vendor you want and search on that. I create a Report View for that Vendor and it works great.
Now I have a requirement to verify there is data first, then send/don't send the report as needed. No Data, don't send the report. I'm using Event Studio for the decision. It's working, but the Prompt is limited in the amount of entries it pulls down. I don't know the exact number, but it's nowhere near 20,000+. Unfortunately, it does not have a search option like Report Studio does.
If I have just a Prompt that is not tied to any fields, it will prompt me for a manual entry. But I need it tied to the Vendor field, at which point the Prompt forces me to select from the list provided by the Vendor field. As mentioned above, it's a partial list, with no options for manual entry, or selecting the next page of data.
How can I get past this?
