Hi All,

I am using cognos 10.2.1 FM . I want toe exclude one child from the member, but at the same time the data for the child needs to be displayed for the member totals.

For example,
[camping equipment ] member has the following child values
Cooking Gear 20
Sleeping Bags 10
Packs 20
Tents 10
Lanterns 05

I would like to exclude 'Tents' but at the same time when Camping Equipment needs to display the data for tents too in Analysis studio summary. That is in detailed level we will not see tents but in the total for Camping equipment will be 65. Please advise

I would create two different total variables, one with tents not included in the calculation and one with all values included.

Thanks, Is there a possibility from the FM end. The user without much technical knowledge can use the DMR in the Analysis Studio and can do his or her analysis.
