Hello -
I was hoping someone could clue me in on how to change the data format from a format 2014-01-01 12:00:00 AM to Jan-01-2014 in a chart axis. In any normal list report, I would normally do by selecting the data item > properties > data format > change the format type to date and then Data Style to medium... When I do the same for a chart, nothing is happening... Here's my procedure

To cover all bases, I'm doing the same thing in both locations.

After doing this (or any other changes), nothing happens.

Any insight on why this might be happening
I was able modify how to display the date with two changes in the graph chart properties.
1) In the Chart Node Member (of the x-axis), under Text Source, change Source Type to Data Item Value For my example, this was Date of Record
2) In that same property panel, under Data, change the Data Format to the short date.
The above answer is correct.
For some reason the labels default to "member caption" rather than "Data Item Value".
It's the same in charts and in crosstab headers, so it's well worth remembering the fix as it comes up quite often.
