Title: Scope Relationships in Cognos Cube Designer
Post by: rockytopmark on 26 Jun 2015 06:10:38 PM
OK, I know the concept of Scope Relations isn't supposed to exist in Dynamic Cube modeling, but.... I saw a screen while attending to a Dim to Fact relationship that needed a change.  I SWEAR!!

I can't seem to figure out how I got there.

Any ideas?

You need not mistrust that particular aspect of your sanity.

Scope relationships exist in Cube Designer for DMR, which is supported starting in 10.2.2.

Scope relationships don't exist for dynamic cubes.  To model for multi-fact grains is a bit more complicated and is documented in the dynamic cube redbook in the advanced modeling chapter (2nd edition; http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpieces/abstracts/SG248064.html  ) or the modeling chapter (1st edition)

OK... weird.

Now I see the Scope Relationship button again.  I KNEW I wasn't going crazy...

I am not authoring Relational at all... standard dimensions and cubes only.
