Love the Remap to new data source tool in Framework Manager... used it many times, and in doing so, saved millions of lives.
I don't see this functionality in the Cognos Cube Designer... I hope it is there, and I am just blind. 8)
Anyone?!?!

Hi Mark,
First you need the new data source to be visible - so use the Get Metadata option at the top to add it to the source pane on the left.
You can then go to the properties of each level and drag the relevant column from the new data source to the Mapping area for each attribute. Repeat for the Measures folder, and you're done!
Cheers!
MF.
Cool! Works like a champ! <bangs head on desk> Not why I didn't just try that. ::)
Well, I am lucky in this case... my task is to change a cube's table... from using Fact1 to Fact2 for example within same Cognos data source.
I went ahead and did a find/replace in a text editor in the model. This seems to work too, as long as the Cognos data source's metadata has been refreshed to include (in my case) the newly added database tables.
Thanks... Mark

Cool! I'm not sure I would have been brave enough to edit the model using a text editor. I have a huge propensity to do things wrong - that's actually how I got to be called "Muppet" in the first place :)
Thanks for the update - very useful!
Cheers!
