Title: [Solved] How to "freeze column headings" in crosstab without squeezing columns?
Post by: abcuser on 22 Jun 2015 06:45:33 AM
Hi,
in Cognos 10.2.1 fixpack 6 I created a crosstab report.

When I execute report it looks great. But when right click on report and selecting Freeze Column Headings option and report's columns gets squeezed. Is there a way to not squeeze report? See attachment for details.

P.S. I tried to set Crosstab property Positioning | Size & Overflow | Width to 100%, but it looks like this has zero effect when Freeze Column Heading is selected.
Thanks

Try to set the "White Space" property of the crosstab cells to "No wrap". The data inside the cell should not be broken into two lines. Hope it helps.

Cheers!
Tori

ToriBurns, thanks a lot, this solves the problem.

P.S. Related topic very useful: Freeze panes in reports as default (http://www.cognoise.com/index.php?topic=24222.0") and detailed CognosPaul blog post on the same topic: Freezing headers in Cognos 10.2. (http://cognospaul.com/2014/03/27/freezing-headers-cognos-10-2/)
