Title: Cognos 'cache'
Post by: iulian.bobalca on 27 Aug 2007 07:34:50 AM
Hi!

Running a report after committing some data changes doesn't always reflect the updates (if you already ran the report in the near past). I can only guess that Cognos uses a cache mechanism - which, of course makes perfectly sense to improve performance - so my question is: how do you force the grabbing of live data every time you run the report?

Thanks in advance,
Iulian

You need to disable data caching at the model and report level.

Can you give me some more information about this (like where to do it from: Framework Manager, Cognos Connection ? ). Thanks.

In Framework Manager, go to Project/Edit Governors and make sure that 'Allow usage of local cache' is not checked then republish your package(s).

MF.
