Hi All,

I have recently installed cognos to my windows machiene. As of now i am using default gateway URL to login to cognos.
Please suggest me steps how to change change the default URL to our choice like
to http://<mychoicename>/cognos10 instead of default localhost gateway URL having

Kindly suggest .

I believe you have to create DNS for your cognos server. Contact your network admin team, they should be able to help you.

You wouls need to setup a dns record for your server as the first reply says, and then you will have to run the 64-bit configuration to change the settings.

Do not forget to change also all the machines that have the tools (aka 32-bit configuration).

what you mean when you say that we need to run 64-bit configuration to change the settings.
