Hi all,
We have a new client and their environment is a mess. They have an FM package and are not sure exactly which version of FM Models (v1, v2, v3 or v3a) was used to create the package.
So, is there any way to tell from the package what the source model is?
Thanks
If you know where in your client's portal the package is published, you should be able to compare the package timestamp shown in Cognos Connection with that of the FM models which you are aware of.
But I suspect this isn't going to be quite as simple as that . . . :)
If necessary, you can reverse engineer the current published model from the content store. I could swear I had an article that showed how to do it without the restarts and no additional tools, but I seem to have lost the URL. :(
So I googled and found you a couple links. First is the IBM way. You'll need to stop and restart Cognos during this process.

Motio implies they have something in their free version that makes it simpler with no Cognos stop/restarts.
