- Cognos 10.2
- Relational Package + External Data Source

I am getting the following failure message when running a report to Excel using an external data source:

QE-DEF-0285 The logon failed. QE-DEF-0514 Personal data needs to be uploaded from a user file. RQP-DEF-0068 Unable to connect to at least one database during a multi-database attach to 1 database(s) in: Test File UDA-SQL-0593 <personalData><name value="Test File"/><defaultPath value="U:\Shrdata\COGNOS External Databases\Test File.xls"/><baseModelSearchPath value="/content/folder[@name='Reporting Packages']/package[@name='TISID and TISIW']/model[last()]"/></personalData>

Similar messages seem to apply to all external data source and users - I am administrator and am getting better error message description.

However, I am able to run the report successfully to HTML and then, in the Viewer, successfully select any of the "View in Excel" options and Open/Save the Excel Output.

This seems to be a new phenomena in our environment as we have a number of reports that have run successfully in the past.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

This issue *should* have been fixed in 10.2.2 (see http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1PI23318), but it looks like it hasn't been, since I have just updated to 10.2.2 and the problem is still present...

I have just submitted a SR to IBM.
