My 'regular' user is unable to launch contributor. My SU account is working just fine. No other known user issues either coming my way.
I was working on adjusting security (A/D style) and it wasn't responding. Something with my ID seems to have died. This is a new install and happened before. During testing we just rebooted and restarted the services. Is there anyway to 'cleanse' this ID without doing a reboot? It seems to be only affecting my 'regular' user account.

We solved this but restarting the services that were controlled by the service account. Issue resolved.
