Title: RTM Views/Cubes and RunTime Environment 10.2.2
Post by: gosoccer on 07 Apr 2015 01:57:38 PM
Friends,
Unfortunately, I can find a document that says,
"This is how RTM handles the Cubes and Views processing"
OR
"The following is used to establish the RunTime that can refreshthe screen every 5-10 seconds"
OR
What type of support is required for the Cube Refreshes/caching?

I'm trying to get a handle on what we are signing up to before we
make the commitment with RTM.

I understand we use Workbench for developing the Dashboards, etc.
My main question is the establishment of the Cubes/Views.

Please help if you could?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi,

You use Workbench for all your modeling, including creating views and cubes. You're not utilizing existing OLAP cubes from within RTM, you are defining a cube within the metadata you create in Workbench (a bit like Transformer for Powercubes and Cube Designer for Dynamic Cubes).

See Chapter 8 of the Real-time Monitoring Workbench Modeling Reference Guide for details:

Cheers!

MF.
