Hi I'm new to Cognos and also to this site :)
My question is how to calculate (YTD Grouped) for Dates to automatically summarize data.
Our team is currently designing a (Finance) DMR model in Cognos Workspace Advanced. We were watching a demo on Cognos Transformer where they showed how to group dates for example "YTD Grouped" so it automatically summarizes the data when you drag and drop the fields for the Dates from your Source to ->Work Area:
For example : When you slect-> 'All Dates' ->it will show 2011,2012,2013,2014
"Current Month"
" Last Month"
"Month & YTD as of This Month"
"Month & YTD as of 3 Months ago"
Then you select your Measures from your Source->Work area for example:
Measures->Actual, Budget, Forecast...etc.
Which will automatically calculates/summarizes your data
Can someone tell me if it is possible to create a 'YTD Grouped' in DMR if so, can you suggest what steps/logic/query we should use in our model?
