Title: Maps in Firefox / Chrome not displaying
Post by: GrantW on 05 Mar 2015 06:33:47 PM
Hi

I have produced a nice report in IE 11 which uses a map to visualize some data. When the report is viewed in Firefox or Chrome, the map does not display.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get the map to display in all browsers?

Using Cognos 10.2.2

thanks

Grant

Hi,

What kind of map are you using - one of the maps available via the "Map" object from the toolbox, or a Map Visualization available via the "Visualization" object from the toolbox?

What version of Firefox are you using?

Hi there

We are using one of the maps from the Maps object from the toolbox.

Firefox version is 31.0

Interestingly I just checked the mobile app on iOS and the map doesn't appear there, either.

thanks

Ok - that's strange. Have you added any javascript to the report? What happens if you build a new report using just the map - does this render ok?

Sorry for the delay in responding- I've been off on a course.

There has been no javascript added to the report.

If I create a simple report with just a single query and a map, it does render.

The report I am having trouble with has a few different queries to work out some variances between time periods - when I recreate the queries in a new blank report and try to display just the map, I get nothing again in Firefox.
