Title: Sorting by multiple columns
Post by: jdmas on 24 Feb 2015 10:26:35 AM
Hey everyone,

Is there a way to have the report studio sort by multiple columns?

For example, I need a report to sort in this order
Purchase ID (ascending)
Stop Number (Ascending)

I got it to sort by Purchase ID, but cant get it to also sort by the stop number. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Select the list.
On the menu on the bottom left look for the section called Data, and within that the item 'Grouping and Sorting'.

Open that.
You should be able to work out how that all works with a bit of trial and error.

All I am seeing under data is
Data format
Drill-Through Definitions
Group Span

There is one called Data Item, but I am not seeing Grouping and Sorting in there either. Maybe I am missing something?

Also, I selected both the header and body for the columns I need to sort.
