Title: Showing values on line chart only for few months

Hi,

I have a chart with 24 months sales and I am now showing all values on the chart points. Is there a way to show the numbers for alternate months or so.

Hi,
Should I use a conditional formatting to Show only the values on the chart for every 3 months only ?
so if my x axis has 24 months, my chart will show all 24 months but the values will be shown on every 3 rd month.

Select the axis.
Select Label control, set it to manual.
You can change lots of things.

Hi Rob,
Couldn't find that option in cognos 10.2.1.
I also enabled tools - options-Advanced tab and used Legacy chart Authoring. But no luck.

You need to actually select the axis.

Click within the graph on the axis.
It will be called either primary axis or category axis.

You need to quite literally click on the axis, or about half a mm either side of it.
if you highlight the entire chart object or the or the axis labels you have clicked in the wrong place.
