I am still learning Report Studio, so was going through some old threads that sounded interesting, and I found this one on how to create some dynamic prompts
https://www-950.ibm.com/blogs/basupportlink/entry/dynamic_date_selection_in_scheduled_report1?lang=en_gb
However, I don't understand step 4 where it says to enter something as a Report Expression. I've asked a few of my more experienced coworkers and they are nearly as stumped. I realize that this is a version 8.4 example, and I am using 10, but I was hoping that someone here might be able to explain what this step is all about.
Thanks,
Gordon
I don't know if this will be of any use, but I wrote something that does a similar thing, but gives you more options:

If any of it doesn't make sense just let me know.
Thank you. I will look at this right away.
Gordon

Hi,
What this (Report Expression) actually means is:
a. Drag in a Layout Calculation from the toolbox. The dialog that appears will say "Report Expression" at the top.
b. In the expression for the Layout Calculation, from the f(x) tab on the left, expand the Report Functions folder and bring in AsOfDate to the expression window.
Cheers!
MF.
