Currently we are running BI 10.1.1 and Planning 10.1.1 FP1 in a shared environment.
As we are setting up TM1 10.2.2 FP2, we'd like to have a fully shared environment.
From IBM (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21613469) we found out that we need at least Planning 10.1.1 FP2 for integrating it with BI 10.2.
From TM1 point of view, we need to have TM1 and BI-versions in sync, so 10.2.2 for TM1 and BI.
From IBM there are some information which isn't in line:
Cognos Planning 10.1.1 FP4 does not support Cognos Business Intelligence 10.2.2 (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24038928)
Cognos BI 10.2.2 is compatible to Planning 10.1.1 (http://www-969.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity-reports/report/html/prereqsForProduct?deliverableId=1391013543612)
Cognos Planning 10.1.1 is compatible to BI 10.2.2 (http://www-969.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity-reports/report/html/prereqsForProduct?deliverableId=1283979195146)
Question is if someone of you was able to install BI 10.2.2 and Planning 10.1.1 FP4 into a shared environment.
We have updated BI in our test environment successfully to 10.2.2, but the update from Planning 10.1.1 FP1 to 10.1.1 FP4 is causing serious issues:
A refresh reboot will start both Cognos Server and Planning Server (looks oke), but service is registered at BI environment.
When trying to restart the Cognos Server en Planning Server we get the error at "Checking CSK availability". (CSK Request Test: Error CAM-CRP-1278 An active Content manager not found).
So the question is: Did someone fulfill in running BI 10.2.2 and Planning 10.1.1 FP4 (or FP3 or FP2) in a shared environment ???

It's a really interesting question, which you asked for. :)
I would also like to migrate from the BI 10.2.1 fix pack 5 into 10.2.2 in a shared environment with Cognos Planning 10.1.1 fix pack 4. But maybe risks are too high...

Ive just asked this question of IBM Support. Cognos BI 10.2.2 is not oficially compatible with Planning 10.1.1 FP2 (onwards, FP3, FP4) and vice versa. Planning 10.1.1 FP2 (onwards) is compatible with BI 10.2.1.
This may change later thie year.

I already have Planning 10.1.1 FP3 and now I am trying to install Cognos BI 10.2.2 and I get the error " You cannot install this version of the product over a previously installed version"
