Hello everyone
Within Framework Manager, instead of publishing packages to C8 public folder, where can be configured to publish packages to sub folders?
Thank you.
Hi
Unfortunately publishing to top-level of public folders is the only option (please tell me I am wrong with this).
Hi,
No - you are not wrong. You can only publish packages to the root of the Public Folders page.

MF.
Thank you guys.
Now I need your further help. Since I have bunch of Imprmptu Catalogs need to be migrated, so there will be many packages on the c8 portal, and I realise there is no way I cannot manage them to other folders, are there any ways that I can hide them from the users?
Thank you
Hi,
To see how to define security privileges/restrictions, see the Cognos Connection User Guide, chapter 2. If a user/group/role has no privileges to a package folder, it will not be visible to them on the Public Folders page.

Thanks,

Hi,
Create one or more subfolders in cognos connection. While publishing the package change the default publishing locaiton to subfolders created. Now create one or more user groups and deny the access to the subfolder as per requirements.
Hope this helps

Yes - this is now possible. Back in 2007 whan the question was originally asked and answered, 8.3 had yet to be released, and so this functionality was not available at the time.
