Dear Everyone,
As my job duty is concentrate on Report Studio and SDK Development, actually, i not a Business Intelligence Analyst. I want to study more in BI Area, so i hope someone can help me to know what should i do.
In my company, we are using FM, AS, RS and transformer. As we have large amount of transactions ( 90000+ Per Day ) , so i am using Oracle Stored Procedure to prepare summarize table for Cognos and handle some business logic ( such as Transaction Amount for Transaction Type A should be negative).
Every time, the report or requirement change, i also need to change the SP or recollect the summarize table .
Now my boss want me to use more flexible and extendable method. I would like ask how Cognos could help on this problem. As i say, i just a fresh worker in BI, rather than BI, i more knowledge in coding. So, please, could anyone could give me some suggestion ? And, i would like to know, i really want to learn on Cognos BI Area, what kind of foundation book could be suggested?
My post has edited, the old post about the metric studio, as i have ask my boss, it is not suitable for us to using score card system.
