Title: What is the difference between log file and audit report...

Hi
When we go for log file, and when audit report...
If log file is already available for gaining all the cognos users and report information, then why audit report , we need to create.

The question really hinges on how you want to view the generated log information. Do you want it in text log files? Do you want it in a database? You can do either, or both. The benefits of log files are that you can email them easily and copy/paste easily from within a text editor. The benefit of a database is that you can use it as a reporting source and build reports based off the log information. What is it you want to do with the content?
