Any new item like a folder or a Report that i create in Cognos is getting access by all groups.
Is there any way can we change the default access, on the folder at the creation time, so only admins have access to it ?

hi,
you mean if there is a folder named "Development", only administrators should be able to access the folder and its contents ?

Folders by default inherit the permissions of the parent folder.
If you want to restrict Public Folders, open Cognos Connection while logged in as admin. In the toolbar on the upper right is an icon to "Set properties - Public Folders". Click it, go to the permissions tab, and set permissions appropriately.
