Good Day All
Since we upgraded to Cognos 10.2.1 form 10.1, Cognos seems to get hung up a lot where reports just "spin and spin". The only thing that fixes this is restarted the service.
Has anyone else experienced this or know why it happens?

Yes we have. It used to happen frequently because there were some very slow reports which were consuming lot of resources and
they used to consume the entire bandwidth resulting in other reports 'waiting' for a process to become available. Lot of times, that hourglass spinning doesn't really mean that the report is running because it is simply waiting to start running.
