Title: Authors unable to Upgrade Reports - get parsing errors
Post by: TheBrenda on 19 Dec 2014 09:46:10 AM
Unfortunately, I do not yet have a copy of the parsing error. But one of my clients upgraded from reportnet to 10.1. The WebAdmin could open a report and upgrade it. But Authors could not. They get a parsing error. I realize that they can go to Administration and have the WebAdmin upgrade all the reports at once (got that from another topic), but these clients are a bit fussy and want to know why. They wonder if when there are new packages if they might have issues validating the report. Anyone know why Authors would not be able to upgrade reports?

Is it perhaps a security issue? Are there now items they had access to that they no longer do in the new package?

I'm guessing, though. Without knowing what the error is, it's not really possible to identify the issue.
