Title: Short Names in Analysis Studio

In Series 7 (powerplay) you can display Long and Short name in a cube.  We are migrating to Cognos 8 Analysis studio.  We have long and short names listed in the transfromer model but how can a user select Long name vs short name in the portal using analysis studio?

Hi,

This is not currently possible in Analysis Studio (as far as I am aware).  Analysis Studio will always display the Member Captions (long names from a PowerCube).  At present, I think the only options you have to use the short name are to use either Query Studio or Report Studio to build your report.

Probably not what you wanted to hear...
