Title: Filter Data Using Slicer In Cognos DMR

HI,
      I have two Value Prompt. 1> Start period 2> End period. value to be used for prompt is date format ( number format) ex : 20130501    and 

    Time Hierarchy -  Year
                                -   Quarter
                                -   Month
                                -   Week
                                -   Day
                                        - Date Key

How to filter date using Slicer??

How to Apply ?start Period? and ?End Period? values to Filter Data.??

if anybody have any Idea plz let me know.
