Hi Cognos Folks!!

We are planning to implement SSO with AD using SAML 2 for Cognos 10.2.1 versions for a Platform in we have mutilple product is involved.

The scenario is the user should be able to login to Plateform with AD through SAML authentication for SSO and user should be able to login to Cognos directly with asking for credentials from other applucation in the Platform.

Could you please confirm its possible suing SAML and how?

Hi Gops,

AFAIK IBM hasn't released SAML support with Cognos although they use it in IBM Concert and TM1 SaaS using a Custom Java Authentication Provider (aka CJAP) they developed.

If you need SAML support you will either need to implement your own CJAP or engage a partner/IBM to create one for you. I know Motio (see http://www.motio.com/products/csp.do) have created one in the past. No doubt BrightStar Partners would have done the same.

I need to integrate Cognos with Java page, need to pass the SAML token. Can you tell how to achieve this and how to handlw this in Cognos. Already created a CJAP in cognos.
