1. Back up the content store database and the cognos install location (in case you need to revert)
2. Stop the Cognos 10 service
3. Install the fix pack over the top of the existing Cognos install
4. Remember to install the 32-bit version of the fix pack over your Framework Manager install(s)
5. Go into Cognos Configuration, save, start

If I have 64 bit machine then I need to install 64 bit of Cognos FM. Is that correct?

There is no 64-bit install for FM. It's a 32-bit client tool. You can install it on a 64-bit OS but it is still a 32-bit application, and needs the 32-bit fix pack to update it.
Cheers!

Thanks everyone for you support.

When you narrow down the results on the IBM Fixcentral site, the last prompt is for Platform. If you choose "Windows 64-bit, x86" you won't see the 32-bit installs. Instead, choose "Windows 32-bit, x86". This is what I see when I look for Cognos 10.2 32-bit fixes right now:

The fix pack isn't specifically labelled for FM because it can also be applied to 32-bit server installs.
Cheers!
MF.
Dear MFGF,
Thank you so much for your help. I am able to get to as it shows on the screenshot below. I apologize for asking some dumb question, but which one do I install to Framework Manager and Transformer from the below list.
Thanks

Whatever is the 32-bit equivalent of the 64-bit fix pack you already installed on your server. I'm guessing 10.2-BA-CBI-Win32-FP003 if you installed the 64-bit FP3 already?
MF.
This is what I installed last week for 32-bit which includes FM and Transformer . This is FP3 for 10.2.1

Superman said he's updating 10.2.0 though - the 10.2.1 fix packs won't install over 10.2.0.
MF.
Thank you :)
I will update and let you know how it goes.
Thanks

100 applauds!! Congratulations!!! :)
Thank You ! Lot of knowledge gained with your help though !
Someone just told me that if I want to install a patch from 10.2.0 to 10.2.0.3 then I first need to install previous patches as well.
Can someone please comment?
Thanks
Not true.
The fix packs are cumulative by design and hence 10.2.0 Fix Pack 3 includes all earlier fix packs. This is where you can get it from.
