I have Cognos 10.2 running on Windows 2008.
I see in the admin Guide that Cognos is backed using this procedure:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEP7J_10.2.1/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.ug_cra.10.2.1.1.doc/t_backupdata.html%23BackUpData
Is there anything besides the content store and the Framework Manager Project and Models I need to backup?
Does any of the reporting tools require other directories to be backed up.
Would be nice if there was a single backup script that knows what cognos items are installed and you could just run it to backup everything.
Does anyone have a script that will backup all Cognos data?
What OS are your servers running on?
You can do a task schedule in windows and a cron job in linux for the backup process.
What we have is a full content backup schedule on Cognos server that will run every friday night.
After this a scheduled backup of content store in our MSSQLSERVER.
We have framework models on our backup server. No need for frequent backup, unless changes were made.
So if anything comes up or server fails, we just take everything on our backup server(repository) and restore everything.
