Hi,
I am new to report studio and trying to create a nested cross tab report in report studio.
I am using the operational data source as the source for my queries and able to see the required data in a final query. However when i am trying to place the columns in a nested cross tab format I am unable to see my data, but I was able to arrange the columns in desired way.
I have few questions here.
1. Does nested cross tab report works with Operational data store ?
2. If Yes, pls help me in completing my report. :)
Thanks in advance.
If you can query the operational datastore then you should be able to write a crosstab over it...but it's a bit difficult to answer for sure since we don't know what you're operational datastore is.
Have you checked the aggregation for your nested crosstab? I find that that's the problem more often than not. And if you're trying to put a text string into the measures that will generally fail (I know there are ways to make it work...)
Hi,
You said, we don't know what you're operational datastore is ? ---- what does it mean? Can u pls help me to understand how many types of ODS exists ?
I am trying to Put dates into measures. However, it shows some dates in my first row and hides the column lables. When I make the column labels visible, the dates will disappear from the first row too.

Crosstabs are designed to show measures in the cells - not dates or any other kinds of attributes. The underlying data structures don't have any effect on this - it's the same regardless of whether your data is in an ODS, a data warehouse, a text file, somewhere else...
Cheers!
