Title: Is a mixed Windows/Linux cluster possible?
Post by: alaricb@ca.ibm.com on 08 Oct 2014 02:02:39 PM
I've got a cluster of 4 machines (1 content manager, 3 dispatchers) running Windows Server 2008. I'd like to add a RHEL 6 or 7 dispatcher to increase capacity. Is this possible?

I think it would probably work, but I would check with IBM to verify that it is a supported configuration. Otherwise, if you run into trouble, they may just tell you to remove the RHEL server.

Yep - you can add servers into the architecture based on different OSs provided the version of Cognos 10 installed matches up.
