Hi ,

I am new to the Mobile area . Wanted to Know if I install Cognos Mobile , do I need to be connected to the Client Network to access the Cognos Mobile reports or if the user is out on some other Wifi connection ( for example his Home network ), does he still have access to check the reports using the Mobile App ?

In my experience, a user outside the enterprise network needs to connect via VPN to secure a connection to the enterprise network.

If there is a way to connect securely outside the enterprise network without VPN, I would be interested to know how that could be done.

I did read somewhere that we can expose the webserver to outside internet , but that is something which needs to be done by the network team.
