Title: Data Manager User
Post by: CommandoCognos on 30 Sep 2014 04:07:08 AM
Hi all,

we are accessing a file share from Data Manager and we're are wondering which user is technically executing the job from the Data Manager Server - in order to set the proper permission on the target file share. If I run it locally it is most probabaly the local user. So is it the user who defined the job on the server or the user who installed the Data Manager instance? Is it possible to define a user for that? :-\

Thanks and best regards,
CommandoCognos

When you run the build not using the Designer, how is it being fired off - via a schedule or batch file on the server? Via a data movement task in Cognos 10 BI? Something else? The answer to this will dictate what user owns the process.

Cheers!
