Regular dimensions are descriptive data eg Product info, Geography info, Time info, Customer info etc. Measure dimensions are the measures (key performance indicators) you want to use.

Studying for an interview?  8)

Measure Dimensions are numbers or KPIs
example: Sales = 100, Quantity = 200, Inventory = 300, Sales Amount = 4,250.51

Regular Dimensions describe those numbers, usually answer the questions who, what, where and when among others
example:

Year= 2014    <-- Regular Dimension (Time)
Sales = 100    < -- Measure Dimension

Product = Tents    <-- Regular Dimension (Product)
Quantity = 200     <-- Measure Dimension

Country = USA     <-- Regular Dimension (Location)
Inventory = 300   <-- Measure Dimension

Sales Person = Khayman   <-- Regular Dimension (Sales Person)
Sales Amount =4,250.51   <-- Measure Dimension
