Title: Extended Indexed Search Capability
Post by: dpccgf on 03 Sep 2014 03:07:04 PM
All,

Have a question on exactly what this does?  Also, does the full search actually search within a report and into the data to do the search?  Any best practices on running the indexes?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

It will if you configure it to, yes. You can define what is indexed and what isn't in the Admin Console - look on the "Index Search" tab.

Once you have done this, to build the indexes, you need to set up a process. Go to the Configuration tab in the Admin console and use the "New Index Update" button to set up the process. You can choose which parts of the content store are included/excluded (ie the whole of public folders or other more targeted areas). Once you save this, you can schedule it to run on a regular basis.

Cheers!
