Hi All,
I have used the us state map and have created a custom layer region which will include few states under each region.
I have used this map in cognos and say I have five regions. but the color for these regions cannot be changed. the color is drawn based on the measure value and it always shows only 3 colors.
Is there a way to make some changes to color of the regions to be different.
Also is there a way to show colors like in heat map indicating more sales with dark color and less sales with light color.
I know we will be able to do this in rave visualizations in heat maps, but is it possible in cognos map.?
Thanks,
Nithya

Hi,
If you click directly on the Region Layer in your map you will see it has its own set of properties. One of these is a Palette property. If you go into this you can change the existing colours and add as many new ones as you require.
It will still colour code the regions based on your measure value, though. This sounds like it fits your requirement for more sales in a dark colour and less in a light colour :)
