I have been facing an issue in a TM1 install.
I have installed TM1 10.2 on Win 2008 Server and started the Sample Servers that came along by default.
I am able to access the started TM1 Servers via TM1 Applications, TM1 Web, Performance Modeller and Cognos Insight Clients without any issue.
The issue is: when I try to access the TM1 Architect or Perspectives client, I cannot see any of the started Servers!
Perspectives gives me an error message saying "Cannot connect to Admin Server"
I have basically done a Single Computer installation with the Server and Client components installed on the same machine.
I have checked the tm1p.ini file and everything seems fine also added additional lines to Services file under \system32\etc\ as per IBM Technote http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21590958 (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21590958)
I have done many TM1 installations but never faced this kind of issue.
Request the experts to share their opinion/experience on this issue.

Did you resolve the issue ?
I faced such once. What mistake I did, I started TM1 architect first instead of starting admin service. In such case TM1 starts itself a new admin service which you can find in task manager. You need to first kill that related process. Then first start admin service and then start everything else.

After checking multiple options I Was able to resolve this issue with a simple fix.
The tm1p.ini file seems to be the culprit for the issue and I just deleted that file and opened Architect again.
A new tm1p.ini file was created and I was able to access the started servers without any problem.
