We have an BI-environment that consist of three environments, of which we have upgraded one to Cognos 8.2 - the test area. On this machine the burst mechanism ceased to work, which worked fine in the previous version. I have created and scheduled five reports to run (burst, with burstkey) every hour. All the reports are created OK, but the status of the run still show Executing in Schedule management.
I have tried to start the burst manually on small test reports as well, but with the same result. We have also tried to increase the sortbuffer size to 64 MB and restart both the service and the server, without any result. Also we tried to drop the NC-tables in the content store with the NC-DROP-SQL script (as the document #1023882.1 adviced) but still the reports won't succeed.
Does anyone know what might be wrong?

I have been in contact with Cognos, sat in a web-support session for over an hour.
Finally we managed to solve it!
Apparently the upgrade of the server wasn't done correctly.
We reused the repository from the old installation, which didn't work.
Instead you should create a new database, do a full export of the contents (of the old installation) and finally import it to the upgraded cognos installation.
Then - hopefully it should work.
