Hi Inu,

Joins are used when you want related data from two query subjects. Their are multiple type of joins you can define. For example - Inner Join, Full Outer Join, left Outer Join, Right Outer Join, etc. These type of join can be acheived using cardinality.

Union is used when you want to fetch the matched data from both the query.

Intersection is used when you only want to bring the unmatched data from both the query.

Minus work in similar way as in arithmetic. If you minus Query B from Query A then anything in query A which is not available in Query B will be fetched.

Hope it helps.

Regards
Abhishek

Hi abhi,
Thaks giving your time to respond my query, but dont mind.
i know the definition of all these concepts. All your definitions r correct,  i need a scenario to elaborate your point.
One more thing we need to see , i m asking joining at report level.

Why? What is the business issue you are trying to solve? Can you give us the requirements and explain why this shouldn't be done in the model?
