Title: Cognos logging and Websphere
Post by: Dev1975 on 23 Jul 2014 07:55:56 AM
Hi all,

Not sure where this should go but I've got a (hopefully easy) query that I just want to clarify....I want to increase the number of cogserver logfiles retained in my Customer's Cognos environment, which is deployed in Websphere across multiple servers (separate CM, DISP and GW). I know this value is simply increased in the Cognos Configuration under "Environment > Logging" but as it is deployed in Websphere, would I need to re-deploy the EAR file or would a simple save of the configuration and re-start of the application server be sufficient to pickup the new changes? Also, would I need to restart all the servers in the environment, or would a simple restart of the CM be sufficient?

Thanks!
Dev

You will need to rebuild the war/ear and redeploy as well as restart the services for any change made.
